Moving into a new base! 💥 Housing prices in Sydney are skyrocketing!

Sydney is said to be the most chaotic rental housing market in all of Australia, with the highest prices and the most scammers. No one disagrees with that 🤡 If you're greedy for a bargain, you'll end up in trouble 🥹 and if you hesitate, you'll be defeated 👺 It's just the painful truth 🤡 Enough said, just having a place to live without getting scammed is already incredibly lucky 🤧 Seriously, folks, I suggest reading through any documents you encounter thoroughly, especially when it comes to rental deposits! Misunderstandings can be a real pain 🙅 Let me share something: There was this classmate who, because of a mistake filling out their RBO form, didn't receive their apartment deposit back in the correct account. Both the apartment and the government were baffled after confirming multiple times that the deposit had been sent. So, the classmate, feeling wronged and angry, went around saying they'd been scammed. It was really unfortunate. They were 😀 And then there's the person who rented a social housing apartment, broke the lease halfway through, didn't pay the rent, and disappeared back to their home country with the keys. No trace at all 😀 As a graduate who successfully got their PR, another classmate dropped this truth bomb: "There really aren't many sane people among us expats."
