Wunlat "Wow!" Trail 🌲
The latest walking trail in the Wunlat Forest in the Lake District. I did this in December one afternoon, very peaceful—I bet it's different in the spring and summer.
It's 4.5 miles, starts with a slope, but once you hit a certain point, it's pretty flat, and you're already quite high up.
🌲 A new trail showcasing the best of Wunlat's scenery, forestry, woodlands, wildlife, mountains, and breathtaking views.
💆🏻♀️ A healthy clearing where you can lie back and look up, or just relax in the forest, I love this.
🐿️ Wildlife viewing hut, where you can spot red squirrels.
🗺️ Guided walks are available, but I think it's best to experience it on your own.
🐾 Dog-friendly, so anyone can bring their furry friends along.
📸 Special viewpoints, stunning for both photography and just taking in the scenery.
🚗 Plenty of parking at the visitor center, where you can also grab a map for just £1.
⏳ The website and maps say it takes 3 hours, but it's not actually that long unless you're picnicking.
