🌟 It's been almost a year since I came to Melbourne, and it feels like I've finally found the rhythm of life and study. Today, I'll chat with you about my experiences here, hoping to help out those who are considering coming to Australia.
🎓 I'm studying International Journalism in Melbourne, with two years of experience in new media. This major suits me really well; the courses are practical, and the hands-on experience is maximum!
🕺 In terms of daily life, Melbourne is truly a laid-back gem, especially perfect for friends seeking inner peace. Hanging out, chatting, and going to the beach with a few good friends is just incredibly relaxing!
🌲 The environment is fantastic, with great greenery, close proximity to the city center, and a large Chinese community that's very friendly. The transportation is convenient, you can go wherever you want, and there's a wide variety of food and drink!
👥 Speaking of social life, don't listen to anyone saying it's hard to make friends here; as long as you're willing, friends are everywhere. Get involved in school activities more, offline friendships are really good.
🏫 In terms of campus life, the pressure isn't too much. Preparing ahead and reading are important, and the teachers are very supportive. Because of the requirements of my major, I've become more bold and outgoing. The school also provides one-on-one thesis guidance and English classes, which are especially helpful for newcomers!
⚠️ My advice:
1️⃣ Speaking skills are crucial; good speaking skills can deepen your experience in Australia.
2️⃣ When applying to schools, try to find Australian institutions, they're free and reliable, don't get ripped off by domestic agencies like I did 😭.
3️⃣ When it comes to academics, if you encounter unfair grading or insufficient reasons, be brave and fight for your rights!
In short, I hope everyone can find their dream school and have a smooth journey in their studies abroad! 💪💪
