Features: Next to Zetland, slightly cheaper rent than Zetland, relatively new houses, located between USYD and UNSW, lots of exotic restaurants, convenient shopping.
Zetland to UNSW: 15-20 minutes by public transportation.
Features: Stylish apartment area, good lifestyle, more 2-bedroom options and fewer 3-bedroom options, located between USYD and UNSW, slightly pricey rent.
Rosebery to UNSW: 15-20 minutes by public transportation.
Features: Cheaper rent than Zetland, closest leafy suburb to the city, many new apartments to choose from, not far from UNSW and USYD.
Mascot to UNSW: 30 minutes by public transportation.
In a brand-new development area next to the airport, many Asian restaurants, mostly new 3-bedroom apartments.
Kensington to UNSW: Within 10 minutes walking.
Features: Main campus location of UNSW, houses are a bit old, many without air conditioning, facilities are outdated, students are advised not to rely on photos but watch real video footage or visit in person before deciding.
Kingsford: Walking distance to UNSW.
Features: Old houses, hardly any new apartments, mostly without air conditioning, but many restaurants, diverse food choices, cheap prices, many Chinese supermarkets, light rail available, convenient to CBD.
