Don't regret it! Real experience of renting a room at Monash University in July.
As a student going to Melbourne in July, I consider myself one of the first to start looking for accommodation. I think I started early enough, right? 😂

The first thing I considered was the location, so after looking around, I decided on a studio apartment in the city. It's about a 10-minute walk to the University of Melbourne. The next important factor for me was the lighting and ventilation of the room. I don't like dark rooms as they can feel oppressive, so having large windows that allow plenty of natural light suits my requirements. 😍 I don't have high demands for the size of the apartment, but it's a normal-sized studio. If you prefer a more spacious option, you can check out social housing listings. ㅤ

The most crucial aspect for me is the price. After reading several posts and considering my friends' experiences, I believe it's appropriate to book accommodation now (specifically student apartments, as I'm not familiar with social housing). Generally, apartments offer discounts at the beginning, and the better ones tend to be cheaper the earlier you book. As time goes on, not only do prices increase, but there's also a risk of availability running out. 🙈 ㅤ

That's about it! ㅤ
