Hey all, younger fellows, let me introduce you to a trendy food spot 🍕Pizza Pilgrims.
The owners are two brothers, James and Thom Elliott, who switched from the film advertising industry to the restaurant business three years ago. Their specialty? Authentic Neapolitan-style handmade pizza. If you know, you know, their Margherita pizza is a Neapolitan classic and seriously delicious! Besides that, I'd recommend two others: one's a white pizza, swapping out tomato sauce for béchamel, topped with sausage and cauliflower; the other's loaded with mushrooms, incredibly tasty.
The standout though is the Marinara, just Italian tomato sauce, loaded with garlic, oregano, quality olive oil, pepper – every time you fold a slice and take a bite, the Marinara drips onto your hands, so good you'll be licking your fingers!
Their three-wheeled pizza van adds to the charm. They've converted the back into an oven, sticking to the traditional Italian pizza-making method. High temperature is a must! Half a minute too long and it'll burn! Plus, they use fruitwood to get that crispy crust.
Business is booming, they've got multiple chain stores now and even published a book. Apart from their pizzas, they've got a very authentic Italian lemon liqueur, Limoncello. The lemons they use are personally sourced by the brothers from the Amalfi Coast, all organic and natural.
Their original spot in Soho has closed down, so don't head there empty-handed, but they've got plenty of other branches you can check out.
