Our top priority is always the safety of students. iQ Student Accommodation has implemented highly proactive fire safety measures, and all properties are confirmed safe for occupancy by independent fire engineers. These measures include: Depending on the design of the building, each bedroom and kitchen, as well as certain buildings, may be equipped with smoke or heat detectors, and may also include sprinkler systems, wet risers, and automatic smoke ventilation systems. All our buildings have a fire detection system. On-site staff receive 24-hour training to proactively address fire safety issues, including how to respond to fire alarms, resident onboarding training, regular building inspections, weekly bell tests, and regular fire drills. In most of our buildings, fire alarms are connected to a central monitoring service through Red Care. All fire safety systems are maintained and serviced daily according to UK standards, solely by contractors employing certified personnel. The fire safety systems of iQ Student Accommodation are regularly audited by qualified external risk assessors and internally reviewed by professional health and safety officials.
