Our primary concern is always the safety of students. iQ Student Accommodation implements proactive fire safety measures, with all properties confirmed safe for living by independent fire engineers. These measures include smoke or heat detectors in each bedroom and kitchen, as well as in some buildings, possibly including sprinkler systems, wet risers, and automatic smoke ventilation systems. All buildings have fire detection systems. Our onsite staff receives 24-hour training every day to actively address fire safety issues, including how to respond to fire alarms, training residents during onboarding, conducting regular building inspections, performing weekly alarm tests, and conducting regular fire drills. The majority of our buildings have fire alarm systems connected to a central monitoring service via Red Care. All fire safety systems are maintained daily to UK standards and are managed only by national contractors employing certified qualified personnel. The fire safety systems in iQ Student Accommodation are regularly inspected by external qualified risk assessors and audited by internal health and safety professionals.
