Congratulations to all the new students of the 23 Fall at Newcastle University in the UK! 🇬🇧
As the new academic year begins, there are a few things you should do when arriving at the school. Let's take a look at some essential tips for autumn freshmen that Xiaoi has compiled for you!
1. Check your class schedule
The autumn semester begins on Monday, September 18th. Your timetable will display important information about your teaching sessions, including dates, times, and locations. This is essential for planning your daily campus life.
2. Get to know your tutors
During your time at Newcastle University, many people will be there to help and support you. They each have specific responsibilities and can offer you assistance, such as your Personal Tutor, Module Leader for academic advice, and Degree Programme Director (DPD) for matters concerning your course, transfers, withdrawals, or suspensions.
3. Familiarize yourself with the Student Services Centre
Many student services in Newcastle can be found at King's Gate, the dedicated Student Services Centre located in the heart of the campus. The Student Operations team on the 2nd floor (opposite the Student Union building) will be able to answer your questions directly or direct you to specialist colleagues. If you have any inquiries regarding student registration, smart cards, self-service portals, etc., feel free to head over there!
