Is four hundred thousand enough for studying abroad in Australia for one year?

I was browsing through Little Red Book and my budget was under 300k. So many people said that's not enough and said you need at least 500k a year. I'm doomed. It also depends on the region and I don't want to live with roommates, it's so expensive. Does anyone understand this and can explain it to me? I really need help with this😭
