I'm confused, should Ade rent an apartment or a student dormitory?

I heard that the price of a regular apartment is lower than that of a student apartment, 😭 but it is difficult to apply for one. My senior said she applied for one through a foreign intermediary before, and kept dragging it out. In the end, she got a dilapidated house far away from the school. Eventually, she didn't get it and ended up renting a student apartment. So is there really a big price difference between these two types of houses?
