The replacement tenant will pay the room type price displayed on the apartment website at the time of their application - not the price on your contract. However, you still need to notify the apartment that you wish to cancel, so please submit a cancellation request under the "Your Requests" tab in your online account. The apartment team will inform you of the next steps. If your lease has started and you have moved into the room, you will be charged £50 to cover the cost of preparing the room for the replacement tenant. If you sign a contract on or after August 1, 2024, you will be immediately bound by the contract, as the apartment no longer offers a cooling-off period after this date. Unless a suitable replacement student is found and meets the replacement section of clause 9 of the contract, you will not be able to cancel the booking. The replacement student will pay the room type price displayed on the apartment website at the time of their application, not the price on your contract. For confirmation, according to clause 9 of your contract, you need to find a suitable replacement for your room. This means you will be responsible for the rent for the room until the start date of the new tenant's contract.
