Our top priority is always the safety of students. iQ Student Accommodation implements proactive fire safety measures, and all properties are verified for safety by independent fire engineers. These measures include: Depending on the building design, each bedroom and kitchen, as well as certain buildings, may be equipped with smoke or heat detectors, and may also include sprinkler systems, wet risers, and automatic smoke ventilation systems. All our buildings are equipped with fire detection systems. On-site staff receive training 24/7 to actively address fire safety issues, including how to respond to fire alarms, onboarding residents, conducting regular inspections, weekly testing of alarms, and conducting fire drills regularly. In the majority of our buildings, fire alarms are connected to a central monitoring service via Red Care. All fire safety systems are maintained and serviced according to UK standards and are only managed by national contractors employing certified qualified personnel. The fire safety systems at iQ Student Accommodation are regularly assessed by external qualified risk assessors and audited by internal health and safety professionals.
