Can I check in early?

If you need to move in early, please contact your consultant. If there are available rooms for the appropriate rental period, you can arrange for an early check-in after agreeing to the additional rent.

Do I need to pay council tax?

If you are a qualifying full-time student, you will be exempt from paying council tax. You must provide documentation to the apartment that proves your full-time student status.

You can check in when the contract begins. If you arrive at the apartment during non-working hours, it's best to notify the apartment in advance for check-in arrangements.

How do I get my key card?

After completing the check-in process at the front desk, you can collect your key card from the apartment front desk.

Can someone else pick up my key card for me?

No, for security reasons, the key card can only be collected by you.

Can I have pets in the apartment?

No, pets are not allowed in the apartment.

What should I do if I need to report a repair?

You can report repairs using the apartment app. If the apartment does not have an app, repairs can be reported at the front desk.

Can I smoke in my room?

For safety reasons, smoking is prohibited in the apartment and smoke detectors are installed. If you need to smoke, please ask the apartment front desk where the smoking area is located.

### Apartment Overview The New Era Student Apartments were completed in 2017 and offer high-end serviced apartments. The available unit types include private bathrooms, studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments to meet various needs. The interiors feature laminate flooring, with 1-2 operable windows designed to open outward for excellent ventilation, and equipped with blackout curtains. The kitchen is fitted with a refrigerator, and there is wall-mounted heating throughout the apartments. Each apartment is equipped with 600 Mbps wireless high-speed internet, extra-large double beds, luxurious sofas, private bathrooms, smart TVs, full-sized cabinets, and bookshelves, providing ample storage space. In addition to basic amenities, the apartment includes all-inclusive water, electricity, and internet bills, as well as 24-hour free access to a gym, private cinema, study room, and communal kitchen. Moreover, the apartment features various entertainment facilities, such as automatic mahjong machines, and houses a Chinese supermarket for convenient shopping. In the undulating terrain and ever-changing weather of Sheffield, the apartments also provide exclusive shuttle services that greatly cater to students' transportation needs, receiving unanimous praise from them. The shuttle runs continuously for 8 hours during the day, stopping at locations including Sheffield Hallam University, the Diamond Library, the University of Sheffield Management School, and the Arts Tower (shuttle stops can be adjusted based on student needs). Each room is equipped with a private washing machine, which is often not available in traditional UK apartments that typically offer paid communal laundry facilities, failing to meet the needs of high-end clients.
