The safety of students is always our top priority. iQ Student Accommodation implements proactive fire safety measures, with all properties confirmed safe for living by independent fire engineers. These measures include: Each bedroom and kitchen, and possibly some buildings, may be equipped with smoke or heat detectors, and may also include sprinklers, wet risers, and automatic smoke ventilation. All buildings are equipped with fire detection systems. On-site staff undergo 24/7 training to proactively address fire safety issues, including responding to fire alarms, conducting resident onboarding, performing regular building checks, weekly sound tests, and conducting regular fire drills. In the majority of our buildings, fire alarms are connected to Red Care's central monitoring service. All fire safety systems are regularly maintained and serviced in accordance with UK standards, and are handled only by licensed contractors. The fire safety systems of iQ Student Accommodation are regularly checked by externally qualified risk assessors, and are audited by internal health and safety officers.
