How do I find out who I will be living with?

For privacy reasons, we do not disclose the names of the residents, but you can find out who you will be living with through the shared residents' group before moving in, or ask your accommodation team for some other information such as gender, year, and school.

When can I move in?

About two months before your selected move-in date, you can schedule a suitable moving time. If you have special accessibility needs or travel issues, please inform us at that time. If you need to move in early, we can assist with arrangements; just contact your accommodation team for available times and prices.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Unlike many other accommodation providers, we do not require a deposit to secure your booking. We only ask you to pay rent in advance, which will be deducted from your first installment. You could say it’s a little gift for yourself, and you’ll appreciate its convenience come September!

Can I cancel my booking?

We have a 5-day cooling-off policy. This means if you need to cancel within 5 days of signing the lease and have not moved in yet, you can do so. If you go beyond the cooling-off period, cancellation is still possible under certain circumstances, such as if your UK visa is refused or you did not meet the entry requirements of your chosen university. You just need to provide the relevant documents within 72 hours of receiving the notification. If you find a qualifying replacement tenant, you can transfer the lease to them, and we’ll assess their eligibility to ensure they can take over your contract.

You can invite friends to stay, but each resident is allowed only one overnight guest at a time, and they can't stay for more than two consecutive nights. As long as these activities do not disturb other residents, it is allowed.

How do I connect to the internet?

Connecting to the internet is easy: upon arrival, just connect your device to the wireless network. If needed, you can also use an Ethernet cable to connect to the network socket in your room.

What things are prohibited in accommodation?

For health and safety reasons, we do not permit candles, aromatherapy lamps, deep fryers, or any appliances that do not meet UK standards and regulations. Electric scooters and similar devices are also not allowed. Please do not bring these items into the dormitory.

Depending on your location, mail may be delivered directly to your door (via Royal Mail), or you may need to collect it from a mailbox on-site. For larger packages, they can be delivered to the reception, but we are not responsible for any lost or damaged packages.
