Our primary priority is always the safety of students. iQ Student Accommodation adopts highly proactive fire safety measures, and all properties are certified safe for habitation by independent fire engineers. These measures include: Depending on the building design, each bedroom and kitchen may be equipped with smoke or heat detectors, which may also include sprinkler systems, wet risers, and automatic smoke ventilation systems. All buildings have fire detection systems. On-site staff receive 24-hour training to proactively address fire safety issues, including how to respond to fire alarms, training residents during orientation, conducting regular building inspections, performing weekly fire alarm tests, and conducting regular fire drills. In the majority of our buildings, fire alarms are connected to a central monitoring service via Red Care. All fire safety systems are maintained and serviced per British standards, and are managed only by national contractors who employ certified competent individuals. The fire safety systems at iQ student accommodation are regularly inspected by external qualified risk assessors, with internal professional health and safety officials conducting audits.
