Do I need a guarantor?

When booking through awehome.com at Heritage Court, a UK guarantor is not required. However, if you opt for installment payments, a guarantor is typically necessary to cover any overdue rent or potential damages. The guarantor must be an adult over 18, financially stable, and agree to take responsibility if you are unable to pay.

How can I pay my rent?

If you do not have a UK bank account, you can pay rent using international transfer services like Flywire or BACS. If you wish to open a UK bank account during your stay, we also accept direct debit payments.

Is a deposit required to confirm the booking?

There is no need to pay a large deposit; you can rest assured knowing that you have chosen a student-friendly apartment.

Can I change rooms after moving in?

The apartment will try to accommodate your request. If there are rooms available and you have a reasonable reason for wanting to change, the apartment will communicate the room swap; please note that a difference in price may apply.

These items are not usually included in your room as they are typically personal belongings. However, we have partnered with UniKitOut and Rise & Fall (an eco-friendly option) so you can purchase everything you need for your room and have it ready upon arrival.

What documents should I prepare for check-in?

At check-in, the apartment front desk needs to see a photo ID (passport, driver's license, etc.). You will also need your university enrollment proof, preferably an offer letter, which the apartment may require a copy of for their records, and provide as per the local council's requirements.

Once you have selected your Nido room, a refundable deposit of £100 is required to secure your booking.

Yes, every Nido has high-speed WiFi for you to connect at any time. More information on how to connect will be provided upon your arrival.

Cleaning services are not included with your accommodation, but you can book cleaning services through the Nido team for a small fee.

Are there any additional value-added services?

We strive to include everything you need during your stay. To clarify, your rent does not cover the following: some of our Nidos have vending machines with snacks and drinks at your own expense; laundry fees can be paid as you go, or you can book room cleaning at a fixed rate; if you need any bedding, towels, and/or kitchen equipment during your stay, you can purchase through UniKitOut. We partner with UniKitOut to provide a variety of options, delivered to your door.

When will my deposit be refunded?

The apartment will hold your deposit in the TDS until it is returned to you. After your lease ends, the deposit will be refunded following an inspection of the room. Any damages found will be deducted from the deposit.

Does the apartment have laundry facilities? How much does laundry cost?

All Nidos have laundry facilities. You can use washers, dryers, and ironing boards 24 hours a day. To get real-time availability for washers/dryers, download the Circuit laundry app. Laundry and dry-cleaning prices can be found in your welcome booklet, which you'll receive upon check-in. Payments are made via a pay-as-you-go card, which can be purchased at the laundry machines. If you have any laundry questions, please speak to a team member who will be happy to assist you.

How do I request maintenance?

The apartment's maintenance team is available five days a week to help resolve any issues. They can also assist with emergencies on weekends. If you encounter any maintenance issues during your stay, simply log them on your maintenance portal (full details can be found in your welcome booklet). This team will keep you updated on the progress of the work and arrange a time to enter your room.

Can I bring guests into my room?

There are no restrictions on guests entering during the day. If guests stay overnight, one guest may stay a maximum of eight consecutive nights in a month. All guests must be over 18. You must check in the guest upon arrival, and they must show photo ID to enter the building.
