When do I need to pay my rent?

If you have a valid UK guarantor, you can choose to pay your rent in three installments due in September, January, and April. If you do not have a valid UK guarantor, you must pay the full rent one month before the contract starts, in August. Please note that you must have paid the rent due at the time of arrival to move in. There may be other payment options available.

How will my deposit be handled?

Your deposit will be kept in a deposit protection scheme, securely held throughout the academic year, and will be refunded to you at the end of the contract according to the terms. The deposit you paid when applying cannot be used for installment payments as it is protected by the deposit protection scheme during your tenancy.

Can I request a room change during my stay?

You will need to make a formal request to the accommodation team of your property. If you request a room change during your tenancy, you will receive new documentation confirming the change details which need to be signed or accepted online. If your new room costs more, you and your guarantor will be responsible for the higher rent from the date you start using it.

Do I have to move out during the holidays?

Your room is reserved for you throughout the contract period and you do not need to move out during academic breaks.

Can I book if I'm under 18?

If you turn 18 during your first semester at university, the accommodation will accept your booking without any restrictions; alternatively, an adult over 18 must be a joint signatory to your lease agreement and accept the terms.
