Can I live with my friend?

Some rooms do not permit double occupancy. When applying for a room, please communicate clearly with your dedicated advisor about the room type and which friend you wish to live with or be close to; she will do her best to coordinate with the apartments to accommodate you.

Can I choose my roommate?

You can ask the advisor about the roommate situation for the room you booked, but if a roommate later sublets or vacates, the apartment cannot guarantee the roommate situation.

Is there a reservation fee?

There is no reservation fee required.

What is the deposit amount and when do I need to pay it?

The deposit is £250 and must be paid when applying for the apartment. After a 14-day cooling-off period, the deposit will be held by DPS. Once the deposit is paid, details will be sent directly to your email and will be displayed in the contract.

What is a guarantor?

A guarantor is someone who undertakes to fulfill your contractual obligations if you fail to do so, including paying any rent or other dues owed to us. Your guarantor must be at least 18 years old and reside in the UK and, if necessary, must be financially able to pay your rent. The guarantor should provide a copy of an ID with a photo issued within the last three months and proof of residence.

What are the next steps after booking?

After you complete the booking and pay the deposit, we will match you with a room and send you a lease contract to sign. If you choose to pay in installments, your guarantor will also need to sign.

Can I scan and email the contract documents?

Normally, original signatures on the contract are required, but since we have a partnership with the apartments, you can scan the signed contract and email it. Please consult your advisor for specifics.

Can I extend the lease term?

We will do our best to accommodate your request to extend the contract, provided it falls within the allowable rental period, but this needs to be discussed on a case-by-case basis; please contact your advisor for specifics.

Can I move into my room before the contract starts?

You can negotiate with the apartment for early move-in, which may incur additional charges.

Does the rent include utilities?
