For students who have booked apartments with Unite Students, please note that to create a fair and good accommodation environment, the official will conduct three sample checks on booked students within a few weeks after their reservation (even recent bookers may receive a check soon). The specific details and procedures are as follows:↵↵1. Sampling method: Email/phone, etc.↵2. Materials students need to prepare during sampling: University acceptance letter or screenshot from the university portal showing student’s name and enough information to confirm the application process is completed.↵3. Third-party verification: For a small portion of students, the apartment may verify the authenticity of student information with the university they attend.↵If students do not respond to any of the three contacts, the reservation will be marked as suspicious, and if the student cannot be contacted at all, the reservation will be canceled.↵↵Therefore, please pay attention and check the phone and email provided during the apartment application process. If there are any issues, contact your responsible advisor promptly.

There are two ways to pay rent for the apartment: online payment or bank transfer.↵1. Online Payment: Please log into your Unite Students account, go to the Payments page, enter the rent amount in the dialog box, click the Pay button, and input payment card information. If using a UK debit card, select Debit (the Billing address must be a UK address); if using a Chinese credit card, select Credit (the Billing address remains the domestic address).↵2. Bank Transfer: Please log into your Unite Students account, go to the Booking page, download the Bank Transfer Info file, communicate with the bank in advance, and take necessary materials to the bank counter or a self-service transfer machine to make the transfer. Pay attention to fill in personal booking information in the transfer remarks (according to the requirements in the bank_transfer_info document). Transfers are not real-time; please ensure to make the transfer 1-2 weeks before the deadline to guarantee funds arrive on time. Be mindful of the cross-border payment fees charged by the bank; when paying, ensure to cover both the required rent and fees to guarantee the full amount arrives.
