Upon moving out, the apartment will determine the refund amount based on the condition of the room's furnishings.

Is the deposit I paid upon booking the same as the security deposit? How can I get it refunded?

The deposit is the same as the security deposit and does not offset rent. After booking, your deposit will be transferred to a third-party agency for safekeeping in the UK until the end of the tenancy. The amount refunded will depend on the condition of the room's furnishings (serious damage may lead to partial or total deduction of the deposit, so please report any damages promptly).
