Our top priority is the safety of students. iQ Student Accommodation implements proactive fire safety measures, with all properties safety confirmed by independent fire engineers. These measures include: Depending on the building's design, smoke or heat detectors may be installed in each bedroom and kitchen, and certain buildings may include sprinkler systems, wet risers, and automatic smoke ventilation systems. All buildings have fire detection systems. On-site staff are trained 24 hours a day to proactively handle fire safety issues, including responding to fire alarms, training residents upon entry, conducting regular building inspections, weekly alarm tests, and holding fire drills. Fire alarms in most of our buildings are connected to central monitoring services via Red Care. All fire safety systems are maintained according to British standards and are serviced only by national contractors employing qualified personnel.
