Can I move in before paying the rent?

You must pay all due rent when completing the check-in procedure.

If you wish to move in early, please contact your advisor. If the apartment has available units for the corresponding lease term, you can arrange for early move-in upon signing the contract and paying additional rent.

Do I need to pay council tax?

If you are a qualifying full-time student, you will be exempt from paying council tax.

You can check in at the start of your contract. If you arrive at the apartment outside of business hours, it's best to inform them in advance for check-in arrangements.

How do I get my key card?

After completing the check-in procedure at the front desk, you can receive your key card from the apartment's front desk.

Can someone else pick up my key card for me?

No, for security reasons, your key card can only be collected by yourself.

Can I have pets in the apartment?

No, pets are not allowed in the apartment.

Can I smoke in my room?

For safety reasons, smoking is prohibited in the apartment, which is equipped with smoke detectors. If you need to smoke, please ask the front desk about designated smoking areas.

Can I pay in installments?

If you have a valid UK guarantor, you can choose to pay the rent in installments. If not, you must pay the full amount.

How to pay rent?

Bank transfer: Please contact the apartment for account information under the guidance of your consultant, then complete the payment at the bank. Make sure to note your name and room number for identification, and note that wire transfers may take several business days to process, so plan accordingly.

Is the deposit I paid when booking the same as the security deposit? How is it refunded?

The deposit is the security deposit and does not offset the rent. It will be refunded at the end of the lease based on the condition of the room facilities. If there is serious damage, part or all of the deposit may be deducted, so please report any damages in a timely manner.
