Apartment Overview This apartment is a brick-built complex consisting of five buildings, each with five floors. It offers three types of accommodations: Classic Studio, Premium 1, and Premium 2, with a total of 331 beds. Four buildings are equipped with elevators, while one building does not have an elevator; this building has five Studios on the fourth floor. The windows in the rooms can be partially opened but not fully. Double occupancy is not allowed, and guests can stay for a maximum of two weeks. For security reasons, any guest entering the apartment must notify the front desk in advance. The apartment features a communal lounge, study room, laundry room, and garbage disposal area, and the first floor has accessible rooms. The communal laundry facilities require an additional fee, and students are expected to bring their own bedding and kitchen supplies upon check-in. Rooms are equipped with carpet and wooden flooring. Although there is no gym in the apartment, there are ample fitness facilities available in the surrounding area. Internet speed is 50MB and can be upgraded to 70MB. The communal lounge is equipped with two televisions; students can bring their own TV but must possess a TV license. There are both large and combined refrigerators. Each Studio in the apartment is furnished with two electric heaters and provides curtains. The number of windows varies by room type, generally ranging from one to three. All en-suite bathrooms are equipped with shower facilities. The apartment also offers a free bicycle storage area. Location and Surroundings The apartment is about a 20-minute walk from the city center and takes approximately 30 minutes to reach the University of Bath by bus. Given the dispersed nature of the University of Bath, it is recommended that students take the bus to get there. Although Bath Spa University is located in the suburbs of Bath, it is easily accessible by bike, car, or bus, with a walking time of about 55 minutes. Nearby restaurants include McDonald's and Matty's Cafe. Students can walk about 10 minutes from Charlton Court dormitory to the bus stop at Lorne Road (heading south) and take buses X18 or U18 to North Road (heading southeast) to reach the main campus of the University of Bath. A one-minute walk from Charlton Court leads to the public bus stop at Bellotts Road (heading east), where they can catch bus number 5 towards Twerton to St James Parade (Wy), restoring convenient access to Bath city center. Additionally, Charlton Court is just a four-minute walk from Oldfield Park-Lower Bristol Road train station, providing excellent transport links. Set along the River Avon, Charlton Court is situated in a beautiful environment with complete local amenities, including a discount supermarket Lidl and various restaurants, bars, and takeaways within a 10-minute walking distance. There is also a digital store, Currys PC World, which greatly enhances convenience for residents. Security and Services Students can check in at any time; however, if arriving between 8 PM and 8 AM the next day, advance notification is required to ensure proper arrangements can be made for their reception. The apartment offers a luggage storage service, priced at £49 per week, to accommodate students who are temporarily away. Rent includes all expenses, such as high-speed WiFi, property insurance, and utilities for water, electricity, and gas.
