These measures include: Depending on the building design, smoke or heat detectors may be installed in each bedroom and kitchen, as well as in certain buildings, along with possible sprinklers, wet risers, and automatic smoke ventilation systems. All of our buildings are equipped with fire detection systems. On-site staff undergo training 24/7 to proactively address fire safety issues, including how to respond to fire alarms, providing orientation training to residents, conducting regular building inspections, weekly alarm tests, and carrying out regular fire drills. In most of our buildings, fire alarms are connected to a central monitoring service through Red Care. All fire safety systems are maintained daily according to UK standards, and they are managed only by national contractors who employ certified qualified personnel. The fire safety systems at iQ Student Accommodation are subject to regular inspections by external qualified risk assessors and internal professional health and safety officials.
