Causeway View Student Residence Causeway View officially opened in September 2016, offering students two types of accommodation: En-Suite (private bathroom with a shared kitchen) and Studio (private bathroom with a private kitchen). The residence features laundry facilities, a free gym, study areas, and communal entertainment facilities, all designed to create a comfortable living and learning environment for students. Location Causeway View is located at the end of Causeway, a main road in Aberdeen, with convenient transportation options. Multiple bus stops are within walking distance, and it takes just 10 minutes to reach the University of Aberdeen and 12 minutes to get to Robert Gordon University. Additionally, the area is well-equipped with everyday amenities, including several supermarkets, restaurants, and takeaways within a 10-minute walk, with the nearest supermarket only a 4-minute walk away. The residence is also not far from Aberdeen Beach, accessible in about half an hour on foot, offering beautiful sea views. Accommodation Facilities Causeway View comprises a total of 399 rooms. The En-Suite type is suitable for sharing a kitchen among 6-9 people, while the Studio type features a duplex layout, with a bed and bookshelf on the upper level and a fully equipped modern kitchen, bathroom, and desk on the lower level. The kitchen includes essential appliances such as a refrigerator, microwave, and vacuum cleaner, and some rooms are equipped with multiple floor-to-ceiling windows to ensure ample natural light. Notably, the study room in the residence is equipped with both Microsoft and Mac computers, supporting professional software such as Logic Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator. If students’ personal computers cannot run these programs, the study room will provide significant convenience for their learning. Surrounding Amenities Life around Causeway View is convenient, with supermarkets, restaurants, takeaways, and pubs just a 10-minute walk away. The city center features almost all major brand stores and large shopping malls. You can also visit the train station and the harbor area to enjoy stunning waterfront views, and relax at nearby large shopping centers and cinemas. Security and Services The residence is equipped with an electronic access control system, CCTV surveillance, and accessible pathways to ensure student safety. The on-site team is available 24/7 to assist students and address various issues. Furthermore, the residence offers high-speed internet access free of charge for students. All necessary facilities for student living, including laundry rooms, gaming areas, and social spaces, are available within the building. The front desk also provides a parcel collection service, notifying students through the MyUnite app to collect their packages downstairs. Packages can be stored for a week, and if not claimed, they will be returned to the courier company due to limited storage space.
