How do I know who I will be living with?

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Unlike other providers, we don’t require a deposit to secure your booking. However, we do need an upfront rent payment, which will be deducted from your first rent (think of it as a gift to yourself in September!).

What is the cancellation policy?

We have a 5-day 'cooling-off period.' That means if you need to cancel your booking, you can do so within 5 days after signing the lease, as long as you haven't moved in. If you need to cancel after the cooling-off period, we allow cancellations in certain circumstances, like if your UK visa is denied or if you haven’t met the academic requirements for your chosen university. Please ensure to provide your UCAS notification or visa denial documents within 72 hours of receiving the notification. You can also transfer your lease to another suitable tenant. If a suitable replacement is found, we will conduct a qualification check, and once approved, they can take over the lease.

Can I smoke?

All of our student accommodation is smoke-free, including all types of e-cigarettes. You can smoke in designated smoking areas outside the building or in the courtyard.

How do I connect to the internet?

All our sites have wireless network coverage throughout the building. Upon your arrival, you simply connect your device to the wireless network. If needed, you can also connect via an Ethernet cable by plugging it into the network wall socket in your room.

What items are prohibited on the premises?

For health and safety reasons, the following items are prohibited: candles, oil burners, deep fryers, and any electrical appliances that do not meet UK standards and legal regulations. We also cannot accommodate electric scooters or similar items. Please do not bring these items; you will be required to remove them.

Will anyone enter my room?

We conduct room inspections three times a year and occasionally health and safety checks. During these inspections, we need to enter your room. However, we will notify you at least 24 hours in advance and will knock and introduce ourselves before coming in.

What is the size of the fridge in the studio? Is there a freezer space?

All studios are equipped with a small fridge that includes a freezer compartment.

Can I bring a rice cooker/electric pressure cooker?

Please avoid bringing such appliances (or similar voltage items) due to their high voltage risk, which could result in electric shock.
