I think rather than where to live, what most people are concerned about is where not to live, right?
Below are some areas in London that I have compiled based on years of renting experience and recommendations from friends around me. It's important to prioritize safety when studying abroad!
🔺Camden Town:
This is a hub of punk culture, located near UCL, and many international students live here. However, due to issues such as dirty streets, smoking, and alcohol-related problems, the reputation of this area is not great. It is said that new developments are underway, which may improve the security situation, but if you plan to live here, it's still worth considering.
🔺Brixton:
This place is part of Lambeth in South London and is known as a holy land for pop and rock music, with singers often holding concerts here. However, there are also some social issues, such as robberies and violent incidents involving homeless individuals. If you decide to live here, you need to be extra cautious.
🔺Peckham:
Located in Southwark in South London, this place is described as a diverse area. Although the cost of living here is relatively low, the environment is not the best, and it may feel a bit unsafe to return home at night. If you plan to live here, you need to carefully consider your safety.
