How do students of different types choose accommodation for UCL? Regretting for a year if chosen wrongly.
Students' apartments range from as short as 44 weeks to as long as 51 weeks, with most of them having fixed lease terms. Even if you're not comfortable, you've got to tough it out because, after all, you've already paid the money...
So, it's better to choose an apartment that suits you.
Take the UCL main campus as an example 👀
✅ Commuter Squad
👉 Say no to long commutes. Save as much time as you can, and everything else doesn't matter~
1. Scape Bloomsbury
Just 400 meters to UCL
And it looks pretty good, I like it~
Conveniently located near a Chinese supermarket for daily necessities. Also close to the British Museum and London Zoo, perfect for weekend outings. There's also Victoria Park nearby, nice for occasional strolls. Offers single rooms (studio) and double rooms (2B\Twin room).
2. Scape Kings Cross
Only 500 meters to UCL
Same company as the previous one. I like the aesthetics of the previous one and the layout of this one. The layout of this apartment is really nice, quite square, and the studio feels like a 1B. But it only has studios, no other layouts.
3. iQ Bloomsbury
Just 170 meters to the school
Almost living inside the school
Installed floor-to-ceiling windows for natural light, worth mentioning~
Offers suites (ensuite) and single rooms (studio).
✅ Cost-Effective Party
👉 Shop around and go for the most affordable option after considering everything~
1. Drapery Place
Has air conditioning! That's rare!
Some rooms even have large floor-to-ceiling windows, and there's a Chinese supermarket next door, making life very convenient. Commuting isn't too far either, the subway is quite fast. Also offers 2B layout.
2. vrga
A trendy student apartment
Location is great with direct access to the subway, and the surrounding environment is okay. The view from the high floors is really nice. Recommend larger layouts, smaller ones aren't as cost-effective as the previous one.
✅ Budget-Friendly Crew
👉 All about saving money, can snag one for 200+~
1. North Lodge Lit
Owned by Unie, so you know it's cheap.
But the surrounding life isn't bad, with medical facilities, Tesco, Lidl, and Wilko nearby. Plenty of green spaces for leisurely strolls.
2. Canvas Walthamstow
This apartment has a good habit, it likes to install lights.
So the rooms are quite bright.
It's a 20-year-old apartment, only 3 years until now, so it's not run down. Also offers wetland view rooms.
3. Pavilion Court
The decoration of this one is actually quite good, and reasonably priced too.
Rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, and the lighting is okay.
Nearby there's a Chinese supermarket and a subway station.
Convenient living, transportation isn't a problem.
