Got it! This is how you choose a student residence in London for UCL.
This refers to the main campus. 😘
✅For those who love to sleep in, have difficulty waking up early, or have a long commute:
1. iQ Bloomsbury
It's mentioned first because it's really close.
Right at the doorstep of UCL's main campus, with good commuting options to the Institute of Education.
Having been accustomed to underfloor heating in China, using radiators in London may not feel as comfortable, but this apartment has underfloor heating, so it won't be too dry or uncomfortable during winter.
For those who feel cold easily, I really recommend finding a place with underfloor heating.
They have Ensuite, Studio, and two-bedroom apartments.
2. Chapter Kings Cross
As the name suggests, the location is good.
In the cultural and creative hub of Kings Cross, the surrounding atmosphere is quite student-friendly.
The building is quite tall and they like to use large windows, so if you want to live on a higher floor, the view will be better.
It's a student apartment with hotel-style management services.
They have Twin Studio and Studio apartments.
3. Elizabeth Croll House
Also located in the Kings Cross area.
To be more precise, it's within the SOAS University of London's Vernon Square campus. Living within the university campus does provide a higher sense of security.
Similar to the previous option, you don't need to take the subway to get to UCL, so commuting is okay.
They have 2-bed and studio apartments.
✅For those on a budget, looking for cost-effectiveness, or trying to save money:
1. Mannequin House
You can get it for 200+ pounds, which is not expensive for London.
Located in Zone 3, right next to Warren Street Underground Station, so you can go directly to the university without taking detours.
The building is not tall, only 6 floors. They have Ensuite and Studio apartments.
2. iQ Tufnell House
The location is slightly better than the previous option, in Zone 2.
The apartment is next to Tufnell Park Underground Station, and you won't have to take detours to get to UCL.
There are various shops and restaurants on Huddleston Road, right downstairs, which is quite convenient.
They have Ensuite and Studio apartments. I recommend choosing one with floor-to-ceiling windows.
