😅 Rent is another big expense for studying abroad. This year, rents in general have gone up ⬆️. Later, I found out about this apartment nearby, only 355 a week. I suggest you bookmark it! Wouldn't it be nice to save on rent and spend more on eating, drinking, and traveling?
🫡 The price is cheap, and the living experience is pretty good~
🏵️ Room: Overall, the space is enough for one person. The room comes with a desk, chair, a small double bed, and a private bathroom. The kitchen needs to be shared with two roommates.
Kitchen: There's a large double-door fridge, which can basically accommodate everyone's food. 6 storage cabinets, 4 stovetops, 1 microwave, 1 small oven, cooking is basically not a problem~
🚗 Transportation to UCL: Located in Zone 2 of London, close to Zone 1! It's about a 35-minute walk to UCL; the bus stop/subway is right outside, taking bus 134 for 25 minutes or the Northern Line for 18 minutes directly to UCL; you can also get a bike, and it's only a 15-minute ride to school! Get some exercise while you're at it~
🏺 Supermarkets: No need to worry about shopping. The nearest supermarket is a 5-minute walk to Sainsbury's, 10 minutes to Tesco, and 15 minutes to Waitrose, Morrisons, Boots, etc.
⚠️ Things to consider:
1. Rooms are selectable. Orientation, floor (9 floors in total)~
2. All Chinese roommates. Shared interests and hobbies are quite compatible, won't be too bothersome otherwise.
😷 Impact of the surrounding environment:
The ecological environment is good, but if you don't close the windows properly, squirrels often visit! They seem cute at first, but not necessarily when they come into your room to eat (haha~
😊 That's all I can think of for now. Fellow mates considering this apartment for UCL, feel free to discuss in the comments section. Also, welcome to other mates to add more~
