Regarding the question from a fellow student asking why there are no suitable 🏠 available,
📆We are already in May, which is usually the peak season for student apartments. There are many options available at affordable prices during this time. Some students receive their offers around this time and start looking for housing.
😳However, this year is different! Due to the widespread lifting of restrictions and the new policy that no longer recognizes online classes, which requires students to study abroad in person, the market's peak season arrived very early this year.
🔥In March, a large number of cost-effective student apartment buildings, such as Spring Mews, Pavilion Court in Wembley, Oxford Circus within walking distance to UCL, and Victoria Hall Kings Cross, had already sold out their studio units.
😭And now, entering May, many student apartments have already sold out, with only a few units remaining. Of course, some apartments may keep a portion of their rooms for later release and increase the prices when the timing is right. Some apartments have already started doing this, but I won't mention any names.
💻The screenshots below are some recent chat records from students who have already booked their rooms. However, there are too many to include all of them, so I have selected a few representative ones to reflect the current situation in the London rental market. Additionally, I would like to mention that this year, London's rental prices have reached a historical high. I am not trying to spread anxiety (I was recently criticized by a new friend for doing so, and they even blocked me before I had a chance to explain 😰).
🥰Lastly, I wish everyone luck in finding their ideal nest and settling in soon~
